By God's grace and mercy, we were able to endure the destruction and devestation of Hurricane Katrina. Although the memories are sometimes painful, we rejoice because God allowed us to see and understand that He and He alone is in control.

Spent a couple years at 3 Rivers Academy/Camp Catawba in Covington growing up. I dread to think what friends I may have lost, but thank God for those that continue to live on and help keep Louisiana moving forward!

it is hard to believe it has been six years since Katrina destroyed so many lifes. I want to pay my respect to anyone who lost their life in the terrible disaster. i pray that God will give us peace one day about the people we lost. i am still praying for those left behind who maybe lost everything including a person they loved.

My dearest friend and compainion of 26 years, Mr. Benny Gene Gray whos bravery and coolness without panic, helped keep me calm so we could safely ride our front porch rooftop in 38 to 40 feet of water, ping ponging from one treepto top rooftops for 13 hours during hurricaine Katrina. Benny sadly passed away only one week shy of the one year anniversery of that storm. He died from a massive heartattack. He will always be remembered and never forgotten. Paulette and family
