Ronald A. Gasparri, age 72, of Waterbury, passed away unexpectedly on November 3, 2025, at his home surrounded by his beloved family. He was the loving widower of Janice (Cretella) Gasparri, his wife of over 53 years before her passing in July of 2025.
Ronald was born on November 21, 1952, in Waterbury, a son of the late Eugene and Cecelia (Cipriano) Gasparri. He was a graduate of Cheshire Academy and attended Quinnipiac College before working for his father's family business. Prior to his retirement in 2015, Ron owned and operated Gasparri Construction LLC, a family-owned and operated business founded in 1910. He enjoyed his free time as a private pilot, taking his many friends and family for flights along with him. Ron also loved motorcycles, which in his younger days he won many trophies for drag racing, and he specifically loved his custom Harley Davidson. He also frequently vacationed with his family in Narragansett, enjoying his time at the beach and spending time with his family there, especially his grandchildren. Along with this, Ron would also love traveling to Block Island, especially spending quality time with his wife. He also enjoyed weather watching and predicting the forecast, enjoying his time sitting outside during rainstorms. Along with this, Ron loved nature and all animals, big and small, often feeding the squirrels and birds outside and spending much quality time with his "grandson", the mini schnauzer Jax. Ron also loved his role and took pride in being a grandfather; he was affectionately known as "Papa", a term which eventually led to many others close to him calling him by this name. He will be greatly missed by those blessed to know and love him.
Ron leaves behind his two children, Krista Gasparri Landry and her partner, Benny Daliposki of Waterbury, and Eugene Ronald Gasparri and his wife, Keri of Wolcott, his five cherished grandchildren: Hannah and Mariella Landry, and Sofia, Cecelia, and Charlotte Gasparri; a sister, Jean Boschetti of Desert Springs, CA, and many nieces and nephew. He was predeceased by his brother Robert Gasparri and his sisters Joan Hart and Claudia DiStasio.
Arrangements: Calling hours for Ronald will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., at Chase Parkway Memorial, The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury. A prayer service will take place at the conclusion of calling hours at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
