Jack and I worked out together at EPIC for 25 years, went to see the Rockies and opera in Central City. He was a great person, a wonderful friend, and a loving family man. I miss him very much.

I served Jack at Deliworks in Ft. Collins. I did not realize he was a war hero. He would come in with his radio listening to Rush Limbaugh. He would talk sports, politics with me. My prayers are with the family. Much love...God bless. His favorite sandwich...hot ham with cheddar and mustard.

Jack's friends at Deli Works will miss him terribly. We were worried because we hadn't seen him recently, and he was a very regular afternoon customer, often times listening to his beloved Colorado Rockies on a very small transistor radio propped on the window sill. We only just found out, or I certainly would have attended his funeral. Such a quiet, humble man he was, but a fixture in our lives that we will miss. To the family: we are so sorry for your loss.

My first memories of John were as a young child. He would be studying in the morning waiting for our Aunt Kate to drop him off at high school. I'd peek around the corner, and I thought he was so handsome. I was little, so he ignored me. Over the years I saw him occasionally at family events and then not often. Then in our later years we connected as both of us ended up in Colorado, the only members of our family to do so. I will miss our lunches and frequent phone calls and our political discussions, as will my husband Mike. He called often to discuss possible hearing aids that he never got. We are both sad that those lunches and calls are over, but we have great memories. He loved all you guys and we feel like we knew you all from our conversations about our children and grandchildren. God Bless. Gerry and Mike Wigent
