Elinor A. (Wellheuser) Abolt, 96, of rural Veedersburg, passed away 5:35 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 24, 2013 at the Waters of Covington.
Mrs. Abolt was born March 19, 1917 near Stone Bluff, Indiana the daughter of Matthew and Connie (Babb) Wellheuser. She married Marvin D. Abolt Oct. 24, 1942 at the EUB Church in Veedersburg. Marvin preceded her in death in 1986.
She is also preceded in death by a brother Robert L. Wellheuser in 1996.
Surviving family include a daughter, Beverly A. (John) Rennison, Veedersburg; a twin sister, Patricia E. Boord, Veedersburg; a brother, John "Jack" Wellheuser, Texas; a granddaughter, Amy J. (Bryan) Delp, Lawrenceburg; two great-grandchildren, Christopher J. Delp and Henry L. Delp.
Elinor graduated from Veedersburg High School in 1935, and was employed over the years at the Stone Bluff Telephone Office and the Veedersburg News Office. She was a member of the Stone Bluff United Methodist Church, Stone Bluff Ladies Aid, O.E.S. Valetta Chapter #207 in Veedersburg, and the D.A.R. Throughout her life she enjoyed spending time with her family, being involved in church ministries, cooking, gardening, and taking care of the animals on the farm.
Funeral services were held Nov. 29 at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg. Burial was at Osborn Prairie Cemetery.

We have such fond memories of Elinor. She was always so eager to help with anything at the church. God gifted her with a very astute mind. Her family was most important to her. We extend our sympathy to all.
