My condolences to Alex and family. During my time as a partner at H&K, Bill was a great colleague and friend. My thoughts are with you during this sad Christmastime for you but I hope you can feel a little warmth by remembering Bill's positive attitude and ever-present humor and how many people truly cared about him.

When it became known that I would soon retire as a circuit judge, Bill recruited me to join Holland & Knight as if I was some superstar, and while I was there until he left to run for governor, he always treated me in the same manner. He will always be my friend. I will miss him.
