Many years have passed but I still think often of this man, a great influence on my academic career and on my life in general.

I have requested that this book be permanently online so that others like me can say a few words, even though it's been many years in remembrance. For me, it was 1972 - 1974; he was my thesis adviser, and favorite teacher. Just lately and at 65 years and living in France, I study the same subjects that I did then, under his direction, so he comes to mind often -- he lives on in me. So through me, to those whom I teach, and in general meet, his light is bestowed as well.

Trevor was a family friend since before I was born. What is impressive is that he was a valued friend even as I became an adult. His sense of adventure was such that when we invited him to drive our support vehicle when we rode across Nevada (he was 80 at the time), he jumped at the chance. We loved spending a quality week with him, and he clearly enjoyed himself as well. He will be sorely missed.

I had the pleasure of knowing Trevor for my entire life. He worked with my father Tony Morse and he was an important member of holiday celebrations. He was a true star, a generous and warm-hearted man who talked with everyone with the same attentativeness, whether mathematician or child. ( I suspect that this listening was instrumental in his ability to convince my parents to buy me a horse). Each time he came to visit I always learned something new and was in awe of his adventures including skiing, the travels to distant lands, and those of his younger years riding the trains. Trevor was like an uncle to me and today I send warmest wishes to his nieces in this time of loss.

I worked with Trevor at UNR in Mathematics. What a wonderful man and amazing man he was...Trevor was always such a pleasure to talk to. His sense of adventure was to be admired! Trevor will be truly missed. Blessings to his family for their loss.

As a budding mathematician, I took several courses in the 70s from Professor McMinn. I learned a lot from him and enjoyed his mathematical point of view, especailly in Set Theory. He was also a friend who attended both my wedding and the reception that followed. I miss him already.

I am so proud to have had a great uncle that was such an accomplished person, with such a big heart and love for nature.
