My father served in the WWII. He never spoke of his time in Europe, It was too painful for him. Major Winters served his country with his service during the war and then again to tell the history to the generations of Americans who benefited from his service. God Bless him and his family during these sad days.

My condolences to the Winters Family. I thought he was an exceptional officer and a man of integrity serving under him for 5 years in WW II.

Major Winters was the True example of "The Greatest Generation"---Duty , Honor, Country. His Quote tells all about this man-"-I am not a Hero, but I served in a Company of Heros" Rest In Peace Hero
