Easy Company was an inspiring story of the "greatest generation." My dad served USMC in the Pacific and was alsoone of the great ones, too. The intensity, horrific conditions and above and beyond courage of our American boys and men is stunning
Band of Brothers, The Pacific, and movies such as Saving Private Ryan have served as a catalyst for me, at 65, to become an avid WW II follower and immensely appreciative American.
High school curriculum should embrace the sources today so that the youth of America can "see" the horror. of war and the loss of so many 18, 19, 20 year old Americans that never got to marry their girlfriend, fix up a hot rod, go to the drive-in. The loss of these "boys" who never enjoyed the life experiences of being a father and grandfather. One can only think of their true life "experiences."
I have always desired visiting Normandy, I could never do that for fear of my emotions.
God bless all those who sacrificed years of their lives and all of their life to save our great country.

Thoughts are of you, our quiet, humble hero. I cannot thank you enough for having the presence of heart to have graciously spoken with me when I searched you out. Please tell my brother and the other Eagles I love them. We could use some help here that the 506th would not be disbanded. Where you are, soldiers are not needed, and I know this. But please share your wisdom with us that we might do what is the highest good of all concerned. I shall be praying to the Almighty for the answers. Or that we ask the right questions. Love,
From one Eagle's sister,

I'm 49 years old/young and from Holland.
I have been to several memorials in Holland and never could thank a veteran.
I hereby thank Easy Company and all the other American soldiers who gave up there freedom and live to give freedom to my father and mother so I can live. God bless all of you!
