As a former tenant in he and dorothy's 'rustic cabin' in Whistler we occasionally had our differences, we remained friends until the end and I will miss that outstanding individual!

Time and place have nothing to do with whether one is a pioneer or not. My experience with AC as an employee and a life-long friend of Ian have always been unforgettable. I will remember him always, and am richer and grateful for it.

Dear Dorothy and family,
So sorry to hear of your loss. It was so much fun meeting and working with Alex at Blackcomb Mountain in the early 80's. Then connecting again at Pemberton Valley golf. Wonderful memories of a real gentleman.

I quite often think of the summer that I worked with Paul & Alex in Whistler as their 'surveying assistant'! I really enjoyed the history that Alex brought to each day...we'd uncover monuments buried in moss and debris that Alex himself had put there years prior and he'd always have a story. On the Whistler Ski Patrol, Alex always brought good humor and levity. Definitely a good man!

Working with Alex at Bunbury & Associates for over 10 years was an interesting learning experience. Alex was patient and detailed in teaching me the office side of professional land surveying His historical knowledge of the Whistler area had hopefully been recorded by the Museum & Archives. We will miss those wonderful staff BBQs at your house where Dorothy & Alex were the perfect hosts. Thank you for many great memories.

My thoughts are with you in your time of grief. I knew Alex back in the days of ski patrol at Whistler, before Blackcomb existed. My sincere condolences.
