Harry taught me to fly. He was interesting, intelligent and a very funny man. I liked him a lot.
December-31-16
Very sad news that I just found out about.
Harry guided me through my Private & Commercial licenses but had a full understanding that I was just doing it for stress relief from my regular job; so we had a lot of fun together flying around and eating apple pie in Chilliwak on weekends.
Harry also introduced me to Boxer Dogs and we have had at least one ever since.
See you at the Rainbow Bridge mate.

As a young Air Cadet on a flying scholarship in Winnipeg I had the good fortune to paired with Harry as my instructor. We met up many times over the years as our paths crossed. My sincere condolences to Harry's family. He will be missed.

To Harry's family, please accept my condolences. It is sad to see Harry go west as all aviators must eventually do.
I had a great time learning to fly with Harry at the Winnipeg Flying Club in 1960/61. Those were marvellous times.

Harry was a bright light in this world. He was loving and giving and could be relied upon to give you a hand or an ear. We are grateful to have known such a caring and loving man. The world is darker without Harry but light a candle and think of the brightness he brought to those who knew him.
