I'll miss you so much Uncle Paul. I'm glad you are at peace now. I'm going to miss that little half smile of yours.

First met Paul around 1969, we were both in the Navy reserve in Curwensville Pa. Over the years we stayed together finishing our Navy careers in Altoona Pa. We both retired as Chief Gunnersmates. I think that was a great accomplishment for both of us. I believe Paul retired from reserves aroundy1988, and we drifted apart, not seeing much of each other til around2005. After that we would get together several times a year with an annual navy reunion dinner in Altoona. We shared a trip to the Niagara falls area one year and to the Reading area another. We did several yearly trips to the Octoberfest at Del Grossos park in Tipton. Paul especially enjoyed their Civil war encampment. It was difficult for me to witness his declining health over the last couple years. I wish I could have been more of a friend, then. You're in a better place now shipmate. Fair winds and following Seas.
