May God Bless all of Dr Ruths family at this time of sorrow, while in Roanoke he was my Dr. and I loved him very much, he did so much to help me through surgeries and other needs I had.

What a loss to our world, of such a great man. I admired him
as a skilled surgeon to work with.
As a very funny friend. As
my own physician and to become the physician to my own
daughters. He made our world a better place.

Dr Ruth did my surgery in Roanoke in 1972. He always had a caring and compassionate way of cheering up his patients and assuring them they would be okay. A remarkably witty man who will be greatly missed.

Having been Dr. Ruth's first office nurse, I can affirm all the wonderful things state in the obituary. He was a wonderful Doctor and person and he was missed when he moved to
Florida after his retirement. It was my priviledge and honor to have worked for him for 10 yearsand to be been able to help him close the practice at his retirement. I was working full time at the VA Hospital and worked for him on my days off.
This was a honor because I saw the love he gave to all the patients as he told them goodbye and hlped them find a new Dr. I will always cherish my friendship with Dr. Ruth and Cynthia.
