Mrs. Roberts ~

Truly no man has been kinder and an example of a dedicated Christian than Jim. I was so sorry to hear about his passing. I did not even find out until the same evening after his funeral. I would have come to pay my respects to Jim and you and his family. While I was a senior in high school Jim hired me to deliver medicine after my school day was over. Jim always laughed and really took time to care for a person one-on-one. No matter how busy he was there. Now I know why I saw the sky brighter last night; Jim's star was shining. God bless you and this is only temporary. The best is yet to come.

So long, Jim. Over fifty years ago you and Ed gave me my first job, at the soda fountain, and the chance to learn and grow up. To the Roberts family I extend sincere condolences, and I assure you he will be remembered, especially in the Williamson Road community.

Jim Roberts was one of the most caring and compassionate men that I have ever known! When my parents were living, they were backyard neighbors and Jim often came over to check on them, particularly in their elder years. I think he really enjoyed laughing at and laughing with my father during their daily visits. As my parents grew older, Jim became a guardian angel for both of them, often delivering prescriptions during his visits. If they had needs, Jim was there to help. His personality and sense of humor always made you feel a little better. I am sure that my mom and dad will welcome him to heaven with open arms and I suspect they are already talking about their own families as they keep a watchful eye over each of them. Ms Ruth Anne, Sharon, and Marcie, Jim will always be there to watch over you and your families. My sister, Mary Jaye and I pray that you will find peace in knowing that he was one of the most dynamic and caring husbands, father, grandfather and next door neighbors that we have ever met. We will be forever grateful to your family for sharing Jim with our parents. I am sure that their lives would have been shortened, and certainly less enriched were it not for Jim. Please know that we will never forget him, as an amazing role model of empathy and care for family and friends as well. We will continue to pray for you in this difficult time in your earthly lives!!

Ruth Ann I was out of town when Jim died and didn't find out about the funeral arrangements until too late. I am so disappointed that I could not come. If you want, I would love to come by and see you. I am so sorry. I didn't know Jim had cancer, like Nick. I know what you are going through. My heart and prayers are with you. In Christ, Angie Paone

I just read about the passing of Mr. Roberts. All of my family (Cecil & Ruth Farris and us children) were long-term customers at Williamson Rd Pharmacy when my brother and I grew up. We live in the Williamson Rd Area then and was always happy to see the smile and talk with Mr. Roberts when we went into the Pharmacy. Mrs. Roberts we will keep you and all your family in our prayers. Mr. Roberts was a good friend to my Mom and Dad during doing those earlier years in our life. God Bless you all.

Praying for you all with the loss of a wonderful man! I loved going to the drug store to see Jim as a child, then an adult, and also to take my daughter there to see him. Jim was 1 in a million. My family and I will cherish the memories of him, his smile and his voice. Oh and all the jokes. God Bless you all. Jim will be missed.

I just learned about Jim today. I am truly sorry for your loss. I pray that God help you in your time of need. It is so hard to lose someone that you love so much. Keep your head up and know that Jim is looking down on you. God is there for you and will help you get stronger day by day.

We just found out today about Jim's passing and are devestated. Not only was he a wonderful pharmacist but a wonderful man to work with. He always lit up any place he was in with his wonderful stories, infectious smiles and genuine concern. I last saw him a few weeks ago, we were both at chemo and he made me an orange balloon dog. A wonderful sweet man who will be missed. We were blessed to know him and send our prayers to his wonderful family.
With heavy hearts,
Ed and Nikki (Goldie) McCraw
