I am so very sorry for your loss. I can't even begin to understand your pain, just know that I am here for any of you if you need me. Amber will always be remembered.

I wasn't sure if I should write or not. I am a wildlife biologist for the NPS and yesterday (6/12/2009), while conducting a bird nest count on Green Island (near Oregon Inlet), I found a "meassage in bottle" (actually numerous messages). I assumed it was going to be from a group of schoolchildren and was going to let them know when and where their bottle had been found. I was not prepared to find the personal messages from family and friends to Nicole Regina White. Only one of the letters had Colie's full name on it and I was able to determine that she was one of the victims of the Virginia Tech Massacre. The bottle appeared to be sent out on April 16th, 2008, one year after her tragic loss. I just thought I would let her family and friends know that she (or her memories) have been enjoying the sun on the Outer Banks. This must just be another way that she is letting you know that her memories live on. I felt the most appropriate thing to do with the messages was to relaunch the bottle and let her memories live on.

i just wanted to say I am so sorry for your loss. I didn't know Nicole but she did sound like a very interesting person and I would have loved to had the chance to meet her. I found this on a search engine that I decided to put my name into.

Nicole is missed everyday by her family, friends and people she has never met and this is a testimony in itself. Thank you to all who love.

I too decided to put my name into a search engine to see what came up as I am also a Nicole White. I am so sorry for your loss. My cousin and his girlfriend graduated from there about a year or 2 before this. They have a Daschund named "Hokie" after the school's mascot.
