While I've not ever physically met or spoke to this man...I must say that hearing the baritoned, "booming", yet avuncular and soothing, down-to-earth voice of Seth Williamson on my radio dial over the past decade or so was indeed a treasured opportunity. WVTF will always be my favorite NPR station, but most recently some important element of its essence was abruptly silenced. Seth's love of classical, jazz, and "folk music" was eloquently expressed via the airwaves, and he also loved nature. He also had a witty sense of humor, especially once I heard him say, "We don't need no stinkin' MTV!" LOL! Seth played REAL music, much unlike many commercial stations these days...and made you feel a part of the WVTF family. He will sorely be missed.
