Bob was an exceptional man, and I am honored to have known him. I will always treasure his friendship, leadership, and guidance. He was an outstanding role model to so many around the world, inside Motorola and out. I truly believe I'm a better person for having known him, and I'll forever be grateful. My deepest condolences to the Galvins for your loss. God bless.

I was fortunate to be in the Motorola Law Department between 1970 and 1998. Bob Galvin symbolized Motorola for me. He was intelligent, humble, forward looking, caring of his employees and most of all, highly ethical.

America could use more Bob Galvins today.

I had the good fortune to be employed at Motorola from 1979 to 1998. I often saw Bob Galvin in the cafeteria of the Schaumburg Corporate Building. His warmth and friendly demeaner was always present to employees no matter what their job was. He was very special. I send my sincere condolences to the Galvin Family and Friends.

Bob encompassed the attributes of the global leader. He resonated with each of us for possibly different reasons and we all benefited by his presence and guidance.

I started my career at Motorola at the Franklin Park campus in the early 1970's. Mr. Galvin would come to our building, the back building, just to walk around and to say hello to his employees. There was never any pomp and circumstance. He would stop you in the hall and say Hi, and ask you how you were doing and if everything was ok. He was an amazing human being who always showed respect and true compassion for all of his employees. Everyone was always treated as part of a big family. I think of Bob often and admire the man he was. My sincere sympathy to the Galvin Family.

Bob was a class act in everything he did or in every gathering he was engaged in. He treated everyone with the greatest amount of dignity imaginable whether in Schaumburg, Malaysia, Austin, China or anywhere Motorola had employees. If had a child and wanted him or her to model themselves after someone, Bob Galvin would be someone you could say, be just like that man. It is an honor to have known him and to have served on committees with him and to have him visit our factories.

There is not much more that can be said about Bob Galvin, that hasn't already been said in the pages of this Guest Book. What is remarkable, however, is that every word is true. He was an inspiration to us all, and I will tell my grandchildren about the truly remarkable man i had the privilege and pleasure to be associated with for a quarter of a century.

Bob was my mentor who taught me the true meaning of dignity and respect.

Bob Galvin was a wonderful person from whom I learned much. I feel privileged to be able to say that I worked for him and for such a wonderful company for 24 years. I always found him to be thoughtful, kind, considerate and always willing to listen and/or answer questions. He will always be remembered as a true leader and innovator. He was one of a kind and is truly missed.

I worked for Motorola for 36 years before retiring in March of 2002. I greatly enjoyed working in the field most of those years. I got to meet him many times at the 10 20 and 30 year anniversary meetings. Thanks so much Bob
