For most of my 37 Motorola years, I was honored to be led by such an innovator whose humanity, generosity and integrity were unquestioned. In his leadership, Bob Galvin exhibited all the fine qualities the nation now extols with the death of Steve Jobs. He was a creator of whole industries and business models while leading a virtual army of loyal, enthusiastic employees who recognized his genius as well as his genuine interest in their welfare. Rest in peace, Mr. Galvin. You, too, were a giant who left the world a better place,
Max Hopper

Deeply saddened to note the passing of Bob Galvin, a great leader, innovator and person. Bob was the epitome of a vision-driven and values-based leader who treated everyone with respect and dignity. He was a thoughtful listener who elevated my spirits with his possibility thinking. It has been twelve years since I left Motorola after nearly eleven years with Motorola. I went off in search of an even more perfect culture. Alas, I could find no organizations that could touch the magic that was Motorola in those days. Motorola was Camelot. Bob Galvin embodied the grace, gentility and courage of the finest. He will be missed. Deepest sympathies to the Galvin family.

I worked for Motorola for 27 years, and I loved working there when Bob
was the CEO, because he showed that he cared about his employees.

Bob was a great leader and a visionary and he cared deeply about his employees.
I was always inspired by him.
