Dear Mr. & Mrs. Secher,

Words can not express the pain I know you must be feeling over the loss of your son.

It is to the brave men such as Capt. Secher that we owe our deepest gratitude to. The world was a far safer place with your son in it and a far sadder place with his death. Having served in Iraq myself, know that his death was not in vain. We, as Americans, must never forget the sacrifices our troops are making daily; not only in the risk of death or injury, but the chanllenge of being so far away from friends and loved ones.

As a Marine myself, the only words I can offer are the words that your son and I both, as well as all other Marines, chose to live by..."Semper Fidelis".
