Thinking of you- may you rest in peace. you are missed.
December 26, 2011
Well Captain Secher its been awhile since I stopped in. But just because I haven't logged in doesnt mean your not in my head and on my heart every day. I miss you my brother. I miss laughing with you and at you, alongside Sgt Procopio of course at "your women skills". But your Marine skills were something different. They were serious and genuine. To have known you was a priviledge. To honor you day to day is an honor. One that I cherish and embellish while I tell Mackenzie about you. And let her know the kind of man you were, are, and always will be. You ARE the Few, the Proud, My Favorite Marine. God Bless Sir, Miss you!! Semper FI!

Rest in Peace Capt..... May God continue to comfort your family.

I served with this Marine in Bravo 1/11. He was a great leader to his Marines and a Fine Marine Officer. Never did he ask his Marines to do things he would not, in fact I recall he was always the first to do them. Never one to make hasty decisions when not called for, always asking his enlisted leadership of what they thought and including them in planning. A TRUE MARINES MARINE. S/F Sir.....Gy Hessler

To the family and friends of Capt. Robert M. Secher:
Please accept my remembrance of Robert on the anniversary of his passing and know that he will never be forgotten.

This year will mark the 5 year anniversary of Capt Secher's death. Every year at this time, I have an internal drive to honor his death. I still remember where I was; I was the first Marine in the shop to learn of his passing. As I sat at the computer and stared blankly at the words 'Captain Secher was KIA this past Sunday' will forever be embedded into my brain. He was a wonderful mentor, an outstanding Marine, and was one of the few Officers who found this LCpl's (at the time) jokes funny. I loved being on duty with him because he always let me go to the gym and 'get some.' Capt Secher's memory will continue to live on.
