Dear Quinn's....
A year after college, my first "real" job was with "the General" in 1970....it was probably the best job I ever had. As so many before have said here, he was a man of honesty and integrity, cut from a special cloth. He did so much for so many "just because"....he lived a full life, a life full of joy, and his light shined on all who knew him....I was so fortunate to have bathed in that light for a few short years. You have a VERY special angel watching over you now....God Bless....

Mr. Quinn was a very dear friend to all on the island of Scraggy Neck and anywhere else he went. Indeed, he brought joy to anybody he met. He also brought honor and integrity to public service. I don't ever recall him being in a bad mood. I am certain there are now smiles in Heaven for his presence there, though we will miss him here. Rest in Peace, Mr. Quinn.

I always enjoyed when Mr. Quinn would regale us with a story or two from his days in leadership in Massachusetts. His life was truly full and well-lived. Mr. Quinn was a tremendous role model and leader. We will all miss him. My sincere condolences to his family.

To the Quinn family, I had the privilege of meeting the Honorable Bob Quinn through my years at the state house. He had an unique quality of making you feel special. He knew my dad, brotherinlaw and sister and always asked about them. May your many loving memories sustain you through your sorrow. He was a wonderful human being.

When a great man dies, people look on the horizon for a successor. No one comes and no one will: his class is extinguished with him.

He was the gold standard for public service. Tough to replace.

Bob's greatest joy was making others happy. May the peace that comes from the memories of love shared comfort you now and in the days ahead.
All our love
