I grew up listening to Mr. Williams playing so many lovely tunes, but his rendition of "Autumn Leaves" will always be my birthday song...I was born in September and always looked forward to hearing Mr. Williams play.
Rest in peace dear Mr. Williams.

In the 1950s I spent many summers at Lake Congomond , in Southwick Ma. I would place the record player on the pourch and play his L.P. at full volume so I could here it while I was out on the lake. Thanks for some GREAT MUSIC. Philip Perfido, Rocky Hill, Ct.

Truly one of the greatest influences on my personal piano style and technique. My collection of 60+ roger albums is a treasure, and will be wearing a special black band in his honor. He will be missed more than you know! And yes the album "For You" is a personal favorite of mine as well with "JANIE Is Her Name" from 1963.

I am sorry to hear of Mr. Williams passing. My mother , who is a gifted pianist, introduced me to Roger Williams when I was young. I loved to listen to his album, (not sure of the name) Janney is her name...his darling wife on the front cover. My mom brought me from Idaho to see Mr. Williams perform at the Valley Music Hall in Bountiful Utah. He made a great impression on me with his love of music and the gifted way he performed.
