Dear Santo Family,
My sincere sympathies are with you. The best time of the year for me has always been spring and the start of the CUBS season. There is/was no other way to "watch" the game but to listen to Pat and Ron. I could not wait to tune to WGN radio and listen to broadcasts painted in a million colors by Pat and Ron. I could feel the emotion Ronnie shared in the booth and what a smile he brought to my face! He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered forever!

Ron was the main reason we still listened to the Cubs. He felt what we felt. Our biggest fan will always be present in our hearts and at Wrigley. We love you Ron!

TO THE FAMILY OF RON SANTO. I WAS A GREAT FAN OF RON WHEN HE WAS PLAYING. I NEVER GOT GO MEET HIM BUT ALWAYS TRIED TO FOLLOW HIS PLAYING BASEBALL. HE IN MY OPINION WAS THE TYPE OF PLAYER THAT TODAYS PLAYERS SHOULD TRY TO BE.

To the family of Ron,
I was surprised to learn that Ron was born on the same day as my husband and both men had type 1 diabetes, and sadly both struck with cancer and now in heaven. God bless you with your grieving. So many of us loved him.
My mom, a die hard cubs fan loves him so much. Thank you for sharing your Ronnie with all of us fans and for all you do for JDRF. I give to them too. God bless you! Joan Hux and Rita(mama)

Our whole family of Chicagoans were Ron Santo fans (and Cub fans, of course). Ron was a guest at my cousin Jay's Bar Mitzvah (OH too many years ago) and I remember how easy going and wonderfully fun he was with all of us. Thanks for the memories. #10 will ALWAYS BE number 1 in our hearts. Our love and prayers go out to the family.
