i use to deliver newspapers in anchorage alaska on elmendorf a.f.b. in the early to mid 70's, and i had a early model cassette player stuffed in my over-the-head newspaper holder, blasting the ohio players music at 5am in sub zero temperatures. not a care in the world because i had "fire" to keep me warm as i walked my route as a kid.
i use to stand in front of the mirror at home with my double neck air guitar and pretend i was foot. i even put on one of my mom's afro wigs and pulled the left side down to cover my eye. i loved sugarfoot. i will miss him. he provided a essential part of the sound track to my life. imagine as a young boy, growing up to the ohio players music and pam grier as someone you hoped would be your girlfriend. rest in peace my brother. much love.
