May you rest in peace.
January 16, 2002
For the McCourt and Clifford families;

My heart breaks for your family's terrible losses. May the comfort of your many cherished memories of a strong and beautiful life give you solace; and may the love from many who do not know you but send great amounts of love to your family, and to the spirit of a much beloved life, touch your heart somehow and help to heal your terrible grief.

God bless.

To the family of Ruth and Julianna McCourt, Please accept my heartfelt condolences at this time of your tragic loss. Though I did not know them personally, their beautiful souls and joy in life radiate from their pictures in a way that touches any heart. My thoughts and prayers are with you, and I pray that the peace of God's love will comfort and keep you in your journey of sorrow.

We are deeply sorry for your tremendous loss of Ruth and her good friend Paige as well as Juliana. May their precious lives and love live on in all who love them and in those who have been touched by their lives. After reading their story they have touched my life so a part of them has become a part of me and a part of each American. Our hearts cry with you in such great loss.
America Cries
We see your sorrow-
and our hearts cry....
We can not erase your pain
but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-
-the American people-
are beside you.
We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,
the strength that gives you courage,
and the words to lighten your spirits.
And when we are left speechless
may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts
to ease your sorrow.
May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-
-the American people-
face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn

The portrait of these two persons was one of the five portraits brought in our danish newspaper this morning... I was really touched inside as I read about this terrible tragedy... Although I live very far away from NY I feel the misery and sorrow in my heart... I simply can't understand how anyone can cause so much pain all around the world at one time. It has touched us all very deeply...
May you rest in peace and God bless you...

I can not begin to express how sorry I am for the losses that your family has suffered. I am a single mother of two beautiful daughters, Tabitha age 12 and Ashley age 5. I can't even imagine one day without them in my life. I pray for you and your family. God Bless and always be with you.

I am an older mother of a 5 year old son. We flew together back to New England just a few weeks before 9/11. It was his first flight. Reading the story of this mother and her oh so young child, As an older mother of a young child, I cannot fathom going through the heartache they must have gone through. My heart aches and goes out to them and to their family. -*

Just wanted to say that my heart goes out to you. My son is three and I couldn't even imagine living life without him, or even what it would feel like being with him on a plane in that circumstance. Rest in peace.

I want to leave a tribute, but I just don't know what to say. As I read the list of passengers, the names fo Juliana and Ruth McCourt jumped at me. I, too, have a 4-year-old daughter; and I, too, am older (44). I see my daughter differently now. My daily prayers include Mr. McCourt, as the life he now has is unimaginable to me. I pray that he may one day view pictures of his wife and child, and smile. I pray that he may find peace somehow. I lost friends in the WTC; but my heart goes to Mr. McCourt, not to me. God be with you ad bless you.

Ruth was one of the most elegant people I have ever met in my life. When I first saw her, I immediatley noticed her outward beatuy and glamour. However, as I got to know her better, I saw that she was also the most giving and caring woman. She was always helping her friends and looking out for those around her. She is a true role model.
