I was Doobie's RA at Millersville. He was always a kind and funny guy, with a smile to share. I'd not seen him since school but am not surprised to see how talented he was. May he rest in peace and may his family be surrounded by love.

Dear all, Having never met the late 'Doobie', I was introduced only via his obituary. What a remarkable young man. Every line of the announcement was filled with energy...boundless, open, fabulous forward motion, love of family and friends and, of course, his passion for sculpting, creating, thinking. From one artist to the family of another, please accept my sincere condolences. Love and optimism, Heather McKeown

I am shocked and saddened to learn of Doobie's passing. I only ever knew him as Peter's little brother growing up in Merion. What a happy boy! He was proud of Peter, loved his family, and happy to see friends like me stopping over.

I am very sorry for the Nowlan family. I'm glad Mr.& Mrs. Nowlan didn't have to witness Doobie's untimely death, but feel bad for them nonetheless.

I had no idea of Doobie's work as an artist and sculptor. His work is truly remarkable. Still, he was a member of the Nowlan Family, and to me, that trumps all.

God Speed, Nowlan Family! All love and well wishing to you.

From Tony Coppa, and all the Coppa's of Merion.
