Today I received a call asking if I wanted to pick up my records from the Moelter Chiropractic Clinic. Since I haven't been there in over three years, I asked the reason for this. I asked if Dr. Randy was retiring. The woman on the other end of the phone hesitated and then told me that Dr. Randy had passed away. I was shocked! What do you mean!?! When? October! No! My next question was how Marie was doing.
I told the woman that Dr. Randy was the best and that I had enjoyed going to her until the vertebrae of my spine collapsed with what was later diagnosed as cancer, Multiple Myeloma affecting the bones. No more chiropractic adjustments for me. No more structural manipulation. And because I wasn't having these adjustments, I missed seeing Dr. Randy and Marie. I spent many months hospitalized and life became quite different for me...as I'm sure it is for Marie.
Marie, my heart goes out to you. When I began going to the clinic, I had just moved to Goshen from Pawlet via New Hampshire because my husband had died. Dr. Randy and you cheered me up. Though I know I was going in for chiropractic adjustments, the two of you helped me with life adjustments as well. Dr. Randy was knowledgeable and shared that knowledge freely, and she shared her spirituality too. It wasn't just our bodies that she healed.
I have so many questions which are really unimportant. What is important is that you take care of yourself. Know that you are in my prayers. I care what happens to you. If there is any thing within my power to do, please do not hesitate to call me. Peace and love be with you and yours.
