FRIZZELL, Brenda H.
A native Sacramentan, Brenda passed on May 17, 2013 after a brief but courageous battle with lung cancer. Born on August 27, 1940, Brenda now rejoins her beloved husband, the late Dean Frizzell who passed on February 8, 2013. She leaves behind her daughter Laurie Griswold (Jim), grandchildren, Amber, Robert, Deanna and Daniel as well as great-granddaughters Erica and Destiny. She will be missed by her sister Merlynn Lou Tucker and her mother-in-law Wilda Schnaidt. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and her sidekick 'Tobi' too. She was preceded in death by her sister MaryAnn Laubinger and her parents Merlin and Anne Kopp. Along with her late husband, she was a member of the Sacramento Orchid Society. An avid reader, she enjoyed sharing her books with many others. She loved and enjoyed traveling and had a deep fondness for the history of Sacramento of which she often referred to as the 'good old days.' Friends are welcome to attend a funeral service on Wednesday at 11:30am at W.F. Gormley & Sons Chapel, 2015 Capitol Ave., in Sacramento. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at St. Mary's Cemetery. At Brenda's request, memorial donations should be made to Mercy Hospice. We would like to extend our deepest appreciation to her hospice nurse, Stephanie, for taking this journey with Brenda and our family. Online remembrances can be made at gormleyandsons.com.
