My favorite memories of "Honey" as a child, on holidays sitting on his lap while he shared his pie with me. I love you Honey.

What an amazing man ! His heart was huge and kind. He always had the right words to say and never judged by others words or thoughts. He could see through scars and pain to know your real heart and worth. I was blessed to be loved and adored by this man! My memories of him pushing kylee on the luggage cart in New York will always fill my heart. Those piercing blue eyes and kind smile will rest easy in my heart forever. Prayers for comfort and peace to his family. with love and gratitude, Amy Killingbeck

Dearest Pat, Ray, Jyll, Jack, Terri, and all of Carl's grandchildren and great grandchildren ,
What a beautiful commemorative piece on your dad and grand father.
I have many fond memories of great times shared with my precious Pingrees spanning forty-eight years. The ones of your dad and grampa are ones of love, respect and some great laughs!
I remember him as the strict dad who really checked us out before he trusted us as a welcomed friend to his kids. Once he and Nan decided we made the grade we were family and the good times rolled. I remember the Fourth of July in Grass Valley in about 1966 when I was invited to go with the family to the parade and then party at Auntie Barb and Uncle George's pool. That night is when I met Rose Dolan, who chased Mr. Pingree with the hose telling him, "Get in the car, Carl! Your wife is waiting with all the kids! You gotta go home! Now, get in that car!!" He didn't go easily and was pretty wet when he got in the car.
Momma Pingree was annoyed to say the least. And we had to stop in Lincoln to feed the cows before we went home! We had to endure teasing and wet Willies from Carl all the way to Lincoln!
This is my favorite Mr. Pingree story. I came to call him Carl but, not until Kelli and Kyle's wedding when he insisted. He will always be Mr. Pingree to me.
It is so fitting that he rode off into the sunset on The Fourth of July! He was a wonderfully charming man who was great fun and a true cowboy through and through.
He will be sorely missed by many of us.
Much love to you all. You are his and Nan's legacy. They surely loved you and were ever so proud of you all. As well they could be.
XO

Jack and Terri,
I was sad to hear about Carl. I have many good memories of us all trying to water the pastures at the ranch while he was away. Thinking about you all,
Kelley
