I lived in Sacramento from '87 until '93. One of my fondest memories is luigis pizza always served by this guy who i never knew. To this day i always talk about the best pizza ever, Luigi's! Sad to see this. :-(

Celso Brida...One of my favorite friends. I worked for Celso and Frank in the 80's when Luigi's still had a bar. I remember the night's after closing a group of us would take off to Reno. He would always try to teach us to count cards. Good times in the yellow Mazda RX7. RIP good buddy. I love you and will never forget you.

Yo, Celso! Five card draw, deuces wild. Don't let those Apostles cheat you out of nuttin. You've got an eternity to teach them the game. Ride on. It's been a pleasure knowing you. Thanks for the cross of Assissi...I wear it.

I've been getting the best pizza in town for many years. In grade school, my dad took my family to get that great pizza, and play "trap shoot" - one of our first video games. Now I take my family, and the pizza is still great. Celso was always so very friendly to us all. His personality has never changed. We all hope the pizza parlor remains open. He will be missed.

I met Franca Brida at Sacramento State University in 1963. I remember going to the Brida home and meeting Celso and the family. He was energetic, full of life and became such a success in the family business. The family is a beautiful example of Italian immigrants coming to America and giving of their beautiful culture to Sacramento. I am sad for their loss. May God Bless you Celso and all the Brida family. Love, Shelley (Maxwell) Caniglia

Like so many other native Sacramentans, I have fond memories of Luigi's Pizza going there with my Dad as a young boy when Celso and his older brother worked there under the leadership of their parents. I remember visiting Luigi's several years ago and telling my yesteryear memories to Celso who told me how many people come back and do the same.
Thanks for the memories Celso and may you you rest in eternal peace.

To Celso's family, Celso was a very good family friend. He treated my brothers and sisters like family. He always asked about us whenever, one of us stopped in for a pie/ sandwich. Celso will be missed as a member of the Keys family that faithfully patronaged Luigi's there will never be another Celso Brida. We love and miss you very much. Give my Big did Lisa a hug for me. You may be absent from this world but bit from our hearts. I love you Celso. I'll miss seeing your smiling face every summer when drive down from Seattle back home to Sac to bring the kids by to see you. R.I.P. dear friend.
