My heart is broken. I still expect to hear her full hearted laugh and the way she threw her head back when she did cracked me up. She loved our kids as her own. I am so sad for her son she was so proud of you. The way you took on so much at school thinking ahead for college. She beamed when she spoke of you, in sports, in school, everything. I am so sorry for your loss. My heart and prayers are with you both.

Although it's been years since I had seen her, I have great memories of many, many seasons playing for her. Colette was the most awesome volleyball coach I had ever had. It was always fun to have Brad around too way back then helping out with practice and games. The Bueno family has and will always be a second family to me and my family. Brad - I just learned of Colette's passing this afternoon and am truly heartbroken and saddened. You and Colette were like a second set of parents to Katie and Carly via 4th R and soccer for so many years. Both of you were instrumental in shaping their lives and have been great friends to our entire family. Colette was the best at being a firm, no-nonsense educator and at the same time being equally kind, loving and nurturing. I am so glad we had the opportunity to run into you and Colette and Mathew a few months back. I will truly miss her so much. My heart aches for you and Mathew and the rest of your family. Much love to all, Terri

My condolences to Colette's family, and everyone who has been blessed to know her. I've known Colette since I was about five years old as an elementary student at Sequoia and a kid at 4th'R.' Like many of us former 4th'R' kids, I was one who came back when I turned 18 to work at 4th'R.' I can definitely say that Colette was every reason why I wanted to go back to Sequoia and work with kids at that time. Colette taught me so much about working with school-aged children, and being a strong woman. Colette's influence on the community, the many children, and young adults she treated like family is especially remarkable. Thank you and God bless you, Colette! I love you.

Although we had not seen her in many years, we remember her for her lively spirit, her strong commitment to family, her profound integrity to everything good and right, and especially for the loving way she treated everyone. Dear Brad and Matthew,
It seems so very hard to believe that Colette is gone. Our thoughts and prayers are with you both. Matthew your Mom LOVED and ADORED you so very much, always remember that she will live on in your heart. We were fortunate to work with Colette for many many years as fellow 4th "R" Coordinators. Colette's leadership and love for the hundreds of children and staff that she supervised will be her legacy. We will miss sitting beside her at our Coordinator meetings, she so proudly spoke of you both each month during breaks at those meetings. She always without a moments hesitation, willingly gave her staff as "subs" whenever we had a need at our 4th "R" sites, her generousity and willingness to help along with her wonderful laugh will be so very missed.

There are people that we met through out our life that touch our heart and soul in many ways. Colette and the Bueno Family may have only been in my life a short time, but I think of them fondly. We may not have been in touch at this point in our lives, but my heart is filled with a past that runs deep and wide with the memories of our friendship. R.I.P Collete, tell your brother I said Hello.
May God's blessing be with your Husband and Son filling them with sweet memories of your life while lightening the load of their sorrow.
