Pauline, Fred and Pete: I am sad to read that Fred Sr. is gone from this world. You know he is still with you in spirit and always will be, until you are reunited. I had to learn that in the most horrible way last year when Kim left me after a ferocious fight with cancer; and I'm still trying to find ways to turn my sadness into gratefulness for all the years we shared.

Fred, Fred, Fred -- what can I say. I have many great memories of Fred and you all. One especially wonderful favor Fred did was drive me and my 3-month old daughter for seven hours in order to introduce her to her father, and then all the way back home. Talk about a sweet, patient man. Kim was fussy, but I was a bigger pain to him on that trip I'm sure! I love you guys and will keep you close to my heart while you begin to heal. (Pauline, I think it's time to remove those jeans from the fireplace if they're still there!)

I am so sorry I am not able to join you at the service today. Love and peace to you all.

Pauline, Fred, and Pete - A big part of our trapshooting days were the special people we met. One of them was Fred. We will miss him. Great memories and laughs - a black boat-tail Riviera racing up on us (within inches) in the parking lot of Sacramento Trap Club and Fred jumping out wearing his Dr. Feelgood jacket, Fred almost throwing away his new Un-gun in Reno, Fred eating blue point oysters and loudly (really loudly) asking the waiter "do they scream when you put lemon juice on them?", and Fred handing me motor home keys before the Grand Pacific and saying "I parked this up there for you and your Dad and Brother to use next week".

Pauline, Pete, and Freddie - you were blessed with the best.

I would like to extend my condolences to the family. Death is never something we get use to. But know during this time you are not alone. Our Creator promises better days ahead. He will give you the strength needed to get through this difficult time.
