i always called you Mrs. Zaffarano back in New York in the 1950's. Avis was my best friend, and you always welcomed me into your home. When 8mm cameras came out you took your ring off to have Danny place it on my finger and we had our "engagement" captured forever on that film. you had so many children but the house was always clean...you always laughed and were always involved happily with the children. you taught me & Avis to dance that December when "Jingle Bell Rock" was on the Top Ten! you had the most beautiful children any family ever had. you were such a joy, such a warm kind-hearted person. may peace be with you and may you be in Heaven making it just a little bit brighter. love, Ginger

In the quite of the evening I sit here and remember the fun we had on our Sunday outings and how we enjoyed looking for treasurers at the thrift store. There is a void in my life but I know you are in a better place and finally have the answers to your questions. I miss and love you mom.

When I first saw you in Feb I thought I was looking at my mother and after meeting you I knew she was a huge part of you .
I cried that night and I am trying very hard not to do that now.
I am so lucky to have met you and thank all my cousins and family who made it possible.
You called me My Ire , as my mum was Iris and I am so pleased you could see your sister in me
I know she is smiling on us
Will love you always

On Christmas Day we found a saying mom cut out of the newspaper and stored in the china hutch for us to find. It reads: "Do not stand at my grave and weep, "I am not there, I do not sleep. "I am a thousand winds that blow; "I am the diamond glints on snow. "I am the sunlight on ripened grain; "I am the gentle autumn's rain. "When you awaken in the morning's hush, "I am the swift uplifting rush "Of quiet birds in circled flight. "I am the soft star that shines at night. "Do not stand at my grave and cry. "I am not there; I did not die."
