The world was a tolerable place for me because Doug was in it. His brilliant shining infectious spirit gave hope that humanity had not been lost entirely; there were precious few but there were truly wonderful people in it. With Doug's passing we have lost a precious one. His life and how he lived it is such an inspiration and example. I miss my friend so dearly. God keep you close; cuz I'm certain you are creating mischief there too.
I have so missed, and will forever miss his Infectious Bellowing Laughter in the court... There are some people
who can always bring a smile
to your face.. Doug is one of
them.. Always cheerful..always
positive..found the good in

Making sure you knew he was
there for you for anything..We will cherish our memories of

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Miller family. Doug was a good man and friend. He will be truly missed.
"To laugh often and much, to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world."

I had the pleasure of meeting Douglas Miller in 2011, his very presence spoke dignity, humility, and afairness for all humanity .. "Death is only a temporary sleep, I will look forward to looking him up in the Ressurection promised by Christ", all the best to the family.
We will miss your smiling face and wonderful sense of humor. You will be forever in our hearts.

Having just lost my father to cancer in August, I extend my greatest sympathies to your family. It was a pleasure working with Doug at RT since 2003. He always had a witty comment and a keen perspective, and will definitely be missed.

I am so sorry....cancer is such a nightmare, taking the good guys from our lives way too soon. I have enjoyed Doug's (aka "Stilt") wit and friendship since high school. He loved his family, friends and his weird art and brightened all our lives...
Doug, you will be missed!
