Jim was one of my bosses and a pretty darn good one
Jim was one of my bosses at the County of Sacramento. I just found out that he passed away. Jim was a very caring, funny, and wonderful boss. I will miss him greatly.
When Jim married my sister Pennie, I knew we had a winner added to our family. They will be missed greatly. Our love and sympathy go out to Scott and Andrea.
Hello to the family...My darling brother Jim was a good worker and a good brother. The times that he and his family came back to Cleveland, Ohio were very good times to talk and keep in touch. His family now has lost Jim and Pennie and I feel like a light that was there has faded away. The loss for his family is terrible... and I hope that they can get through this terrible event. Blessings for all, Joanne (Cermak) Wasco.
Uncle Jim and Aunt Pennie were so sweet. Every Christmas they remembered to send a gift to my sister Audrey and me, and our family tradition was to open their present as a special Christmas Eve treat. They were nice enough to drive down to celebrate my daughter's first birthday with us. They were always so kind to my mom, which really meant a lot to her. They were a special couple and will be dearly missed.
Jim was my cousin. The Cermaks were a very close, extended family. We celebrated Thanksgivings, Christmas Eves, birthdays, anniversaries and almost every Friday evening at our grandparents home. It is with a very heavy heart that I send my sympathies to Scott and Andrea but also to Ed and Joanne. I already lost my younger sister who was only six months younger than Jim. I know how Ed and Joanne feel this loss. I know how close Nancy Peppard was to her Uncle Jim and Aunt Pennie. My condolences go out to the entire family as I also mourn Jim's passing. We are so sorry to hear this news. Your dad was always smiling when I saw him:) My heart goes out to you
My brother, Jim, was 16 months younger than me and we were very close growing up. We attended St. Timothy's grade school and Cathedral Latin High School in Cleveland, Ohio and Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. We played hard and worked hard. Jim was a good husband and father and an honest and decent man. He was a loyal and loving brother and I shall miss him. Love, Your brother, Ed
Loved my uncle so much, and so glad we spoke on the phone just days before his passing. Sending my love to my cousins!
I was lucky enough to work for Jim at Sac. County Environmental Health. He was tough on the outside and taught me many things as a new inspector. I loved his laugh and his fairness. He was a kind soul and I am sad to hear of his passing. I know that he and Penny are together again, and that the stars in heaven are a little brighter because of them.
Jim was a very caring loving man. We will all miss him on our yearly camping trip. My love and prayers go out to Andrea and Scott. Your parents were truley soul mates.
Mel, my husband and I worked with Jim our whole carrier. He always had a level head and would be great support. Behind that gruff exterior he was such a teddy bear. He and Penny are still together. A match made in heaven. A wonderful guy that I loved to hear laugh. He and Penny will be truely missed. Two wonderful souls reunited.
My thoughts a prayers go out to Scott & Andrea and their families. Your Dad and Mom were special people and we have lots of memories that will always be with us, but I know they are truly happy together again. Stay strong and we love you all.
Dear Cermak Family, I am so sorry to hear of Jim's passing. He was such a good neighbor and fine person when we lived on Edgemont. May fond memories and good times fill your hearts at this time of loss of Jim and Penny. They will surely be missed.
With Sincere Sympathy and Condolences,
