Thank you for the wonderful memorial service allowing me to hear from the Marshall family of the many activities Gene engaged in during his time of life. It can truly be said he lived a full and enjoyable life for himself and family. A memorable friend to all. It was with pleasure I now look back on my experiences with Gene starting at the construction of the lower Feather River RR bridge continuing through the construction of the Antelope Dam and after; digging wild onions at Frenchman and fishing the lakes and streams around Antelope Dam and just enjoying his sense of humor and easy going way.
Thank you Gene for sharing some of your lifetime with me .
Remembering the fun times on Colusa St. You and Gene, Mom and Dad and a special dessert that had us all laughing because our teeth were stuck together. Love to all. Janet Hardesty Freitas
Gene and I worked on Frenchman Dam in 1959-61. He and I fished some of those high Sierra trout streams. Many great memories. He profoundly influenced my life.
Gene was a friend to many of his coworkers at CA Water Resources. He always was upbeat looking at the positive. He will be missed. My thoughts are with his family.
We are so sorry to hear of Gene's passing. My father, George Davis, was a close friend of Gene's for over 50 years. They met while Gene was just finishing college and worked together on several water projects for the State of California. Our families spent many happy times together while the Marshalls lived in Chico and we continued to see them after their move to Sacramento. Gene had a great sense of humor, enjoyed a number of outdoor and athletic pursuits and was very good at a number of them. He will be missed.
I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Marshall's passing. My thoughts are with his family.
