Sue, Ron, Peggy, Janice - I too was saddened to hear of your mother's passing. My mother, Dorothy Davis, who passed away in April. They always exchanged Christmas cards. Once I realized that we(Mom) hadnt received a Christmas card from your mom, I googled and found out of your mom's passing. I remember when your folks brought all of you back to Iowa for a week's vacation and you stayed with all of us on the farm. Then my mom and dad brought us on the train to see all of you in CA. Those were fun times. I remember how nice and gentle your mom was. She was a nice lady and I know she will be missed. I think of your dad once in a while also as you may know, he grew up with my dad and uncles. Please take care and peace be with you.

As I get together my christmas card list this year I find that I am removing Opal from the addresses. My niece Judi Wiltjer told me of her passing just a couple months ago. Opal was my mom's brother's daughter and I most recently saw her when mom and I went to visit in about 1985...could it be that long ago? Wonderful lady!
Opal was a neighbor of mine. I am sorry to say i was unaware of her passing until last month June when there was an estate sale at her home. She was kind and her face would brighten right up when she spoke of her work as a nurse. Rest in peace Ms Opal. Dear family i am truly sorry for your loss.
I will miss you Opal! Love & light.
My Dad told me today about your Mom's passing. I remember that our family and yours would go camping together in our trailers. We seemed to do that a lot! Also, that Opal always made a chocolate cake with white frosting in that tin pan with a lid. (I can still picture that cake pan). Peggy, I remember many times having sleep overs at your house. Fun times! My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this difficult time. Take care!

Dear, dear Opal. The day I first worked with you at Kaiser volunteering I fell in love with your sweet personality. You entertained us with stories and shared "words of wisdom by Opal" - We laughed and I enjoyed your company. No one like you, Opal. You are loved by many, missed by all. Fondly, Laverne Murillo
