I love you so much! As the first granddaughter, you always made me feel special. Even though I don't have some silly anecdote about you like all the boys do, what I can say is that I will never forget how you loved me. I don't remember stories you told, or many things specifically that you said other than that I was beautiful like a rose. But how you always made me feel like I mattered, that I was special and beautiful no matter what will always be in my heart. Your tenderness made such an impact on me as a child and I love you and know that you'll always be in my heart.
You continue to shine through all! I miss you!
My dearest Dad,
Thank you ---
for teaching me how to hook a worm - about tolerance - how to endure the curve balls life throws at us, to smell the roses, and accept the thorns that come with them;
for being there through the hardest times of my life, your reassuring smile, your generous spirit, about rising to the occasion;
for loving all of us equally, and always looking for the good, for light through the dark.
Thank you for being such a great Father, and staying with us as long as you could. I'll always remember when you were in the hospital, and the docs were discussing possible quadruple bypass surgery, and when they started to show us the images of your heart – your own heart did its own bypass! Wow.
You are my inspiration, and I will always hold you close to my heart.
I love you,
Grandpa, I couldn't tell you enough how important you are to such a wonderful family. As I move on in life there are a few things I will be sure to do. Things I believe you would want all of our family to carry on your legacy. Treat others as you want to be treated, lend a helping hand to neighbors, plant flowers to enjoy the colors of life, and always shake a veterans hand and thank them for their services. I love and miss you deeply.
Family reunions ,seeing you
at your birthday party, giving
you a hug last I saw
you... Thank-you for being there
when my dad was in the hospital
GOD Bless You Uncle PETE!!!
You taught me to love, you taught me to better myself at all costs and you always taught me the value of helping others in need. You are a man I will forever look up to and strive to be like in my daily life by blessing those I cross paths with, with the gift of laughter. I know that you are still with me as you always will be. I love you more than I can or could ever express. I also thank you for loving this wrech endlessly without question. Be at peace- I love you
Thanks for all the wonderful memories, being the best dad ever, the talks and the advice I follow even today. I miss you, yet, I am happy you are no longer in pain. You showed all of us to be strong and keep going on with life and your big heart will be next to mine for all time. I love you, daddy!
Your little girl,
Pete, a man that I truly enjoyed getting to know. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time
Although I did not know Peter Carruth directly - as I never had the opportunity to meet him but, but come to know him through the kind words or loving expressions of his daughter Lorraine, my dearest and closest friend during many conversations. Lorraine, know that your dad will always be with you, I know you were the apple of your dad's eye and he knew always how much you loved him. Smile my friend - your dad is.
It was a pleasure to know you, and you will be missed by many. Thank you for the kindness you showed everyone. Thank you also on this fine Memorial Day for defending the American dream. Rest in peace.
