Roland made the old McClellan Aviation museum feel like it was my 2nd home. I am glad I was part of his 90th birthday celebration. I will miss my great friend.

Me met Roland through mutual friends and the 49er Ski Club. It was always a pleasure to meet him, listen to his good jokes and converse with him in French.

His "JOIE DE VIVRE" was an inspiration of what aging is all about.

He will be missed.

I was one of the many airmen who served under Col. Sabourin in the 544th ARTW at Offutt Air Force Base Nebraska, 1970-72. I am unable to explain why I recently thought of Col. Sabourin, more than 40 years later, nor how it is that I remembered his first name or why I decided to do an Internet search for him last night. To find this recent obituary and learn of his passing is eerie. It is good to learn that Col. Sabourin and his wife shared a very long life together and it is fitting that he re-joined her soon after their temporary departure from each other. I am appreciative of his military service and wish that I knew more about it. May he be blessed for his good service to others.

What a joy it was to know this brave, kind, and accomplished gentleman. I will miss him greatly.

A grateful nation mourns its loss. Rest in peace, Colonel.
