Michael, Chris, and Greg, I am so very sorry to hear of George's passing. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
Your cousin, Shelley
To our Dear Neighbor George,
With a heavy heart we heard the news of your passing. I am so thankful that Greg contacted us and we were able to have a wonderful visit in your final days. Lots of stories shared and laughs too.
You came into our lives back in 1978 and we shared a friendship all this time. You watched our family grow and attended numerous milestones in our childrens lives.
We too were recipiants of the made from love aphgans. I recall the first Father's Day of Ken's father's passing there was George at the front door with a beautiful aphgan he presented to Ken. What a thoughtful man.
Although we moved away, we have kept in touch and do visit the old neighborhood. Going around the corner will not be the same. However, we will view the sequoia tree in a rememberance of our friendship.
I take comfort in some memories of George: his infectious laugh, the glowing smile, he coming up the street walking Tish (or was it the other way around), the roadster - varoom, the train sets, and his gift to gab.
We will all miss you.
Love,
THE TAPIA FAMILY
Not only are you My Dad but you are also My Best Friend. No son could be prouder of a Father than myself for all that you have instilled in my moral fiber. These past ten years have allowed us to grow in our love for one another, as in our love for our savior Jesus Christ.
It was a wonderful sight to be able to watch you open your heart more and more for the love, of God. I know that he has welcomed you into his kingdom with loving arms. Dad, your words of wisdom and guidance still echo in my mind that All things will work out and be as they are to be. I have, continued faith in our Lord, that this is the path I am to follow. I have not given up on KTC as my heart will never change the way I feel. I agree with you Dad that Our Lord had brought "us" together (in his house) and we are working on keeping it that way, in our faith and in our love.
Your love for me, Dad, gives me the strength to live for another day. I miss you and I will always love you, Dad.
Your Loving Son,
Greg
Grandpa, I miss you very much but I am comforted with the knowledge that you are with Grandma. I will hold all the wonderful memories that i have and the time i was able to spend with you these last couple months. Give Grandma the biggest hug for me. You will always be in my heart.. .until we meet again.
George, One of the nicest and most gracious people I ever knew. I felt welcome in your home for the over 60 years of your being my brother-in-law. I will always be grateful for your care of my sister and she told me how much she loved you. I'm glad we got to spend some time together before you left. Say hello to Jean and enjoy the rest of time. I'll be visiting again. Jim
