Harold McElroy Obituary

Harold N. McElroy (Mac) passed at the young age of 88. Born September 24th, 1924 in Cowden Illinois. A dedicated and loving husband, Father, Brother and Grandfather, Great Grandfather and friend to many. Mac was married to Phyllis McElroy for 33 yrs until she went to heaven in 2005. They were so in love and an example of dedication and true love for the family. He is survived by his children David and Lily Mathews, Denise and Ron Rinker, Andy and Dena Poole, Deborah Crouch Reese and Roy Crouch. Brother to Tom, Halden, Imo. A caring grandfather to 10 grandchildren and a great grandfather to 5 great grandkids. He so loved his gradchildren. Mac's career and joy for 27 years in service as a Greyhound bus driver in Sacramento. Boy the stroies we heard as kids!! He also served in the Navy and was stationed in Pearl Harbor. A member of the Masonic temple as a Mason. Mac was know as the most generious, wise and the most intelligent man. He is a true servent and loved to give to those in need. A kind and lovimng soul. He is now in peace and with many of his loved ones. Private burial at East Lawn Elk,Grove, Ca Thursday January 24th 2013
