Sorry I missed the memorial, but on a farm you always can't choose to get away on short notice. I was just thinking of Jesse a few days ago, unaware of his illness or passing, thinking that I needed to get in touch with him, if for no other reason than to hear his cheery Cuban accented "Mr. Jim" on the other end of the line; I sure wish that I had known that he was sick so that I could have seen him before he was gone. I've known Jesse since he was working with Don Dyke for us at the BOC Gases plant, way back in the mid 80's. He taught me a lot about electrical, and I helped him with the Instrumentation, and then worked with him to set up the Instrumentation class at the JATC. We had some good talks before and after classes. I can still remember a number of late night meetings over at Kramer Carton, when we both sat down and tried to figure out what was wrong with one of the German printing presses, with a manual and wiring diagrams written in German spread out before us. He made the hard jobs fun. Jesse was the nicest person that I've ever had the privilege of calling a friend, and he will be greatly missed. Jim jes@simplymanna.com

Tito nunca tuve contacto contigo en este pais pero nunca olvidare los buenos ratos que pasamos en Varadero contigo y tu hermana Rosa. Que Dios te tenga en la Gloria. Madel Llort Gurley
