Aww, I wored with John on the High School Productions running the spot lights. I will never forget his humor, kindness and willingness to help. May light and love surround John, and your family.

One summer weekend Whip and I and the folks were fortunate to visit the Davis family cottage near Cedar Grove. In a creek near the cottage we filmed 'The Sinking of the Bismark' - took a plastic model, filled it with No.2 heating oil, jammed fire crackers in the smokestacks and used a 'sparkeler' as a fuse. The final scene was this 20 inch model hitting a 2 foot wave in Lake Michigan. I'm sure the DNR would not approve of the resulting oil slick, but we were just kids having fun...
Miss you, John.

John was my close friend from high school and college days. We shared many fun times and adventures, from trips to music festivals, scooping ice cream at 31 Flavors, and doing creative projects together. In recent years we'd call each other on our birthdays. I looked forward to those calls and I'll miss hearing his friendly voice and ready laugh. Hey, Sport, I'll never forget you. Peace.

John became a member of the Giesenschlag family on March 4, 1972 when his sister Ellen married my brother Bryan. I knew John as a very talented and creative photographer. We are all grieving his passing and he will forever be in our hearts. John, you were loved.
