John "Jack" Bish passed away on January 27, 2013 at the age of 86. He was born on 12/13/1926 in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania. He had a long, full life and was dancing on 2013 New Years Eve. Preceded in death by his wife of 58 years Doris, daughter Jeannie, son in law Robbie Scott, his parents John and Nell, Sisters Helen and Alice and Brother Bruce. He is survived by his sisters Mary Ranieri and Jean (Don) Anderson in Pennsylvania; daughters Peggy (Jeff) Pauly of Nevada and Beverly Scott of Carmichael; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jack worked at McClellan AFB and Aerojet General where he made air plane parts. He was a proud part of the team that built the booster engines that took the Apollo missions to the dark side of the moon. After he returned to McClellan, he programmed machines to make airplane parts. Jack and Doris moved to Incline Village, Nevada in 1987. He took up down hill skiing and loved it. He was proud of his family and his only regret was not going to college. When Doris died in 2004, Jack moved to Carmichael to be close to his family. He enjoyed living at Winding Commons and made lots of friends. There will be no service, per his request. After the snow melts, the family will gather to scatter his ashes where Doris was scattered. One pine tree, with three rocks. Mom and Dad were like a tree with deep roots, and the rocks like their three daughters. That's where they wanted to be together.
