First of all, thanks, Beth, for the great photos you put in dad's guest book--very nice.

Yes, we will miss him but so glad he is free from pain and worry and home in heaven where he belongs. He was a unique, intelligent man with many talents and interests. See you again some day, dad. Give mom a big hug from all of us!

Dad's first grandchild will be 31 years old tomorrow, 4.10.14. I am including a picture of dad with Mark at age 5 months.

Our prayers for Beth and Kathy's families for the home going of their beloved father. He was my second dad when my own family moved away. He continued to share his stories, poems, music, and literary appreciation with us. I will always remember his love for his family and willingness to include others in his love.

It's hard to believe he's really gone. But as one of his favorite poems says, "He's not gone, he's just away." I know he's away from pain and sorrow and in the presence of our Savior. I'm thankful to have had him for a dad. I knew he loved us. He was best at showing his love with thoughtful gifts and letters. He knew what you liked and would find something that made him think of you. Gonna miss him 'till we meet again!
