KNIGHT-CURTIS, Karen Ruth
Born September 8, 1945. Passed away January 25, 2013. A graduate of Sacramento State University with a degree in Psychology, she dedicated her professional life to the prevention of child abuse. Her personal life was devoted to putting others before herself. Her support of friends and family was unwavering. She could always be depended upon to offer assistance in times of need, and did so on countless occasions. She never asked for anything in return. Survived by her husband, Hoke Curtis, sons Brian Knight and Bill Knight, sister Marsha Karley and brother Gary Scott. The world lost some of its light with per passing. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Friends are welcome for visitation Thursday, February 7, 2013 from 4-8PM at PRICE FUNERAL CHAPEL (6335 Sunrise Blvd., 725-2109) and are invited to attend services Friday 1PM at the CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS, Carmichael 1st Ward Chapel (4125 San Juan Ave., Fair Oaks).

Karen was one of the most caring, giving ladies that I have had the pleasure of knowing. I feel so blessed that our paths crossed. She taught me so much. And she left us too soon.

Karen was a bright shining light in our midst. She graced us with her presence. Her work for children and the AmeriCorps program will be remembered with love.

To Karen's family.. She will be very missed. I worked with her for serveral years at the Child Abuse Pevention Council. My heart goes out to you and Karen made an every lasting impression on me. Her kindness and bright smile will always be remembered. Words can't express enought about Karen's love for others!
