Lorri is the most positive and influential person I've ever been privileged and blessed to know. Her life was an inspiration to me and so many others. To know her was to love her. To be near her was to be in the presence of a Master. I love you Lorri and miss you. Martin Kilgo

THE “WHERE I'M FROM PAGE, AND WHAT I'M ABOUT…..LORRI LEE

I am from snow & ice. Snowsuits in winter / knee socks in spring.

I am from the Green Mountains and Lake Champlain.

I am from the maple syrup trees / forest and meadows.

I am from soldiers and horses; corrals and hay and horseshows.
I am from the first mayflower in spring and nasturtiums in the front yard.
I am the hard worker like my mother and father / the caretaker of my little brother.
I am a skater, a sledder; a swimmer; a biker. I am a learner, a student, a friend.
I am an actress who puts on shows with the neighborhood kids and dress up to play the
Parts.
I am the accepter of all but the mean. I hide in coal bins, pick flowers in the forest;
Blueberries by the railroad tracks with my mother and brother.
I am the tester of my mother's homemade rootbeer….yum. I am the admirer of her tasty
Blueberry pies…more yum. I am the winged fairy maker on my back in the
Snow. I teach my brother to sled down the hill. I skate to the skating rink
With my jacket as a sail.
I am a movie goer; scared of the gorilla when I walk home at night after dark.
I am the daughter who dutifully rides her bike to the PX for my mother and then bounces the package of hamburger off and run over it as I ride home.
I am the caretaker who watchers over my little brother when my parents were at work and defended him at all times when he was threatened by some bully.
I am from homemade fudge that my mother makes and I test.
I was the eternal protector of my little brother but tattled on him once when he was bad
Got him to trouble.
I was the one who rode with him on our makeshift bike our dad put together for us. We would take turns riding in the handlebars; fall over and laugh and laugh.
I am from tennis racket, balls and courts and comradeship with my friends as we played neighborhood games and shared our secrets.
I was the sister who had her brother to rollerskate with when we moved to L.A. and had no friends. My brother had a rabbit he called Thumper and my mom grew carrots in the garden for him. Our dog, Pretzel was jealous and would dig up the carrots
And eat them.
I was the one who bossed him around until he grew way taller then I; 6'4”.
I was the one who kept the family in touch with one another and big dinners so everyone
Could come.
When I was grown, I was the one who ran away occasionally to go to Australia or New Zealand or Mexico, or Tahiti or across the country with one husband or another or a
Friend.
I am from filling my greatest desire by becoming a minister, starting a Church, sharing with others that which I so passionately believed.
I am from retiring, finally marrying the perfect man for me; and living happily ever after. I shall never stop learning, or loving, nor compromise my integrity. I love myself too much to do that.

“This version of my Mom's 'Where I'm From' was mildly edited by me, Mike Lee, to correct some minor typos and syntax issues and to comply with Legacy.com posting policy. I found the original file on Mom's computer (file date circa Sept 2009). The line-spacing and indents are as it was found. “Mike”

Rev. Lori Lee was a spiritual leader, healer, and friend to many.

She was that to me, too. She was also “Mom” (as in Mother-in-law).

Mom was a wonderful person. She accepted me as a “daughter” in-law immediately and she accepted my love for her son, Michael. As time went by I came to realize, more and more, what a gift this was.

Mike and his siblings had grown up with their Mom and Dad in such a nourishing atmosphere. I was so incredibly lucky to marry into such a loving family.

Mom introduced me (herself directly and through Mike) to the spiritual concept “The Law Answers Yes”. Prior to learning of this concept I lived in a world where the law answered, only and always, NO.

I have incorporated “The Law Answers Yes” into my life like breathing. I am grateful for having received this knowledge because with it I have been able to make my life, and the life of others, better.

And really that was what Mom was all about, making life better for all. I see her now affirming “The Law Answers Yes” as she continues on.

Love to you Mom.

Jude
