We have known Manley for over 54 years communicating sometimes in person but mostly by mail, phone calls or email. We remember the wonderful traditional dinner we had with him, Jenny, their children and the children's grandparents in Idaho Falls. The grandparents didn't speak English and we didn't speak Chinese but we communicated beautifully with many smiles and laughter. When we didn't hear from Manley last Christmas we became concerned and just today discovered he had passed on. Our sincere condolences to his family. We will miss Manley and our conversations with him greatly. He was a fine man and a good friend.

Dear Alan, Julie, Allison, Alexis and Jason,

Please accept our sincere condolences for the recent loss of your father and grandfather. The notice indicates that he was a highly accomplished and active person, and had a wonderful family of which he was likely very proud. We hope your memories serve to keep him in your hearts, and help you in the healing process.

In gassho,

Ron and Ellen Ishimoto

I remember Uncle Manley quite fondly. Although we visited with him infrequently, he was so friendly to us kids that I felt that we could talk about anything. He had a way of outreach that I still hope to match. I will miss him.

My sincere condolences to his children and grandchildren.

I have often thought about Manley and now regretfully am no longer able to reach him. We attended elementary, jr. high, and high school together. He was often at our house during those years. We were also neighbors in Hayward. While our family is slightly
older, we frequently socialized. Unfortunately, with the passing years, we lost contact with each other. He is now resting peacefully.
