Myron SEAMONS Obituary

SEAMONS, Myron Irving
Age 94, peacefully returned home on December 8, 2012 to be with his wife Catherine for Christmas. He was the father of four children resulting in 24 grandchildren and 44 1/2 great grandchildren. He served 23 years and retired as a Major in the United States Air Force. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving a mission in Germany, and as Bishop in Colorado, and California. He and his wife also served a mission together in the Philippines. Myron's favorite service was as a temple worker in the Oakland Temple in California for over 20 years. He had a great love for music, children, and other people. He enjoyed greeting people and making them feel welcomed. He either had a hand shake, hug or kiss with those greetings. He is survived by a sister, Ann Shaw of Logan, Utah, son Brian (Doris) Seamons of Centerville, Utah, daughter Laura (Michael) Colson of Fair Oaks, California, son Jeff (Carolyn) Seamons of Roseville, California, and daughter Kathy (Arnold) Nelson of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. We are grateful and give our thanks to those who showed love, kindness and gave service for our father at Heritage Place and the George E. Wahlen Ogden Veterans Home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 15, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Nelson Funeral Home Chapel, 162 East 400 North, Logan. Friends may call Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. Interment will be in the Hyde Park Cemetery with military graveside rites.

Brother and Sister Seamons were so loved by our family, and so important to us. I knew them all my life, served with them, and was served by them. Our lives were better because of them.

The Seamons were the warmest, most loving couple my life has ever been blessed with. I haven't seen them in many years, but the warmth in their smiles and the love in their hugs and handshakes will forever touch my heart and life. The reunion between he and Sister Seamons had to be wonderful. Till we meet again. Love, Janice (Winn) Raymond.

Another dear Cousin has gone home, I have not seen Myron in years but remember as a very handsome Marine in his uniform. Delbert and Mildred Petersen were my parents. Dear Family you can be proud of your heritage and for the wonderful parents you had. How grateful we are for the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Peace be to you

Dear Family of my dear cousin Myron, the son of my precious Aunt Nora, I rejoice with you in our knowledge and testimony of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. How blessed we are for the Plan of Happiness made possible by our Dear Savior, Jesus Christ. Think of the happy reunion taking place with all our loved ones. I send you my love and condolences in celebrating Myron's graduation from this earth school with honors. We have a great heritage for which we must ever be greatful.
