Patricia CAMPAGNA Obituary

CAMPAGNA, Patricia Ann
Patricia was born March 9, 1940, in San Francisco, CA. She passed away on May 13, 2014, in Roseville, CA.
Patricia had a catholic school education, attending St. Cecilia Grade School and Mercy High School in San Francisco. She graduated from Cal. State Hayward with a teaching degree in mathematics and a master's degree in education.
She was a working mother who took great pride in her family; together she and her husband Joseph raised 4 loving children while living in Fremont, for 27 years. A math wizard, Patricia taught school at Newark High for 22 years before retiring to Roseville in 1997.
She loved living in Sun City Roseville for the last 17 years where she played golf, duplicate bridge, contributed her time at the on-sight library, volunteered at both Sutter and Kaiser local hospitals for 6 years. She was a real 'wit' making comeback comments with her family and friends while maintaining a reserved disposition with all those that knew and loved her.
A real trooper in her fight to cure her Parkinson affliction for the last 8 years and Lung Cancer which was found the summer of 2013. She never complained of the pain and suffering she experienced always working toward an eventual cure with the help of Jesus her constant companion.
She was truly loved by her family, her many friends and especially her husband Joseph and will never be forgotten. Patricia is survived by Joseph Campagna, her husband of 54 years; their children, Michael, Anthony, Nichola, and Douglas Campagna; grandchildren, Kelly, Michael, Theresa, Andrew, Kaitlynn, Lindsay, Jadon & Jacob Campagna, and Bryan and Melissa Goette; great grandchildren: Giovanni & Julianna.
Funeral Services to be held at St. Clare Catholic Church, 1950 Junction Blvd. in Roseville on Mon., May 19, with a Viewing at 9AM, Catholic Mass at 10AM, followed by a reception at Morris Hall (adjacent to the church). Private Burial at Calvary Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contribution can be made to the National Cancer Society for a cure for lung cancer.

My dear cousin, Pat was a beautiful and talented teacher. Joe devoted many years to helping Pat, with Parkinson & then Lung cancer. What a wonderful family of children, grandchildren & even great grand children. Our Lord has added another angel to his heavenly kingdom. May Joe find courage and strength to carry on without his beloved wife, Pat.

I just wanted to express my deepest gratitude and thanks to Pat for welcoming me with open arms to the Campagna family when I married her "only planned son" Doug. You will be dearly missed everyday and we will remember you always. Rest in peace and know that your legacy continues with your children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Dear Joe and Family,
100 yrs ago + or – a day or two I had the opportunity of meeting Pat due to a work relationship I had with Joe. Unfortunately, I only had the opportunity to spend a few days and dinners with her but you could immediately sense the wonderful sense of humor couple with her love for life. Occasionally in life we get the opportunity to meet one of God's angels and she will definitely fit in perfectly in her new home. I am sure she will be lookin' over all of you!

Dear Joseph,
In herlast weeks what I saw was a woman of great inner strength, grace and peace. What I also saw was two people committed to their sacrament in spite of the challenges placed upon it It was love, sacrifice and great courage. You are a true witness of what that looks like. You have something to be proud of despite the loss, you have kept your promise to God, you have fulfilled your sacrament. She is with you always never far from your heart. God bless you and your family and you will continue to be in my prayers.

I had Mrs. Campagna as a math teacher at Newark High School back in the early 80's. She was an incredible math teacher who cared about her students and made sure we understood it. Her patience for endless questions was remarkable. She was a teacher that left a positive impression on me and my approach on how I work with kids today. My condolences to the family.

Dear Mr Joe and family,
I love all of my patients, however there are some that are very near and dear to my heart. Mrs.Pat was definitely one of those patients. I always loved to take care of her in the clinic, and in the meantime, banter back and forth with Mr.Joe about football or whatever. Mrs Pat would just sit there and chuckle. She had a great sense of humor and I will miss her. God Bless her and sending love and condolences to the family,

I only met Pat a couple of times but we had so much fun at her granddaughts graduation party last year. We all sat around the table and shared stories. I really enjoyed her company. I am thankful to Pat for her wonderful son Tony! He is a great guy. He must be just like Pat because he loves his family so well!

I only met her once at a family reunion and I was instantly attached. Such a beautiful lady inside and out. It was an honor and my good fortune to show up at that reunion to meet her and Joey and Nic. The loss of someone so vibrant if felt and grieved by many even by those of us that only met her briefly. May she rest in peace and my God bring comfort to Joey and her children. Love to you all *Cousin Carol

Patricia is very dear to me. Her cheerful ways and her diligence made her a wonderful mother and mother-in-law, homemaker and teacher. The teachers I have had that inspired me were just like her - able to make tough problems doable, all with a smile, and in her case, frogs. Until her departure, she had a resilient attitude, I am told. She will be missed, but we will see her in heaven with Jesus.
