My uncle Bob was a wonderful, caring, inquisitive, loving, strong and faithful man. He showed unconditional love to all. I will treasure all my memories of time with him...many nights spent sleeping out on the deck off the master bedroom, swimming, him trying to teach Tyler and I to play tennis, checking on us in his deputy car and letting us turn on the siren and push all the fun buttons, watching hours of old family slides and videos, Christmas Eve's, attending church service at CCC and so many more wonderful memories. Brent and my kids will cherish their own, personal and beautiful memories. We will miss you, "Aunt Bob".

Sacramento has lost a fine man and a great friend. Sgt Buckman worked for me when he was assigned to Internal Affairs and he was a great asset to the job. Always fair and even tempered, he could get a difficult job done and did it with his own style. Although I was his boss, he never let me win at tennis and always seemed to take great delight in seeing me stumble all over the court trying to get to his mighty serve. It was no wonder that he had so many sports medals. Bob was a craftsman and could say that he built his own beautiful home in Fair Oaks, but the truth of the matter was he did trade his labors with a lot of other deputies to get the place completed, but it was all worth it. To Jan, Darren and Ryan, Bob always valued and loved each of you and you were the center of his world. I know that you will always miss him, but he has given you a wealth of memories to cherish. Rest in peace, old friend.
